Some ways to style your real hair extensions

Style your hair extensions just like you would with your own hair so that the two match. If you have short layers, you may wish to ask the hairdresser to trim the hair extensions, provided they are real human hair extensions, and add in layers that match your own hair.
This will instantly makes them look more natural as sometimes if you have shorter hair, very long extensions can look a little unnatural.
Listed below are some easy ways to style your real hair extensions you can do at home. Let’s try it!

  • Curling your real hair extensions

One way to style your hair extensions is by curling them. To do this, curl each weft by using a heated curling tong, before clipping them into place. This is a much more manageable way of curling your hair extensions and making sure that all wefts are curled evenly. Our tried and tested method for creating relaxed curls is to tong hair section by section, working in the largest widths of hair possible (you don’t want to have to over-style your hair extensions too much). Always remember to prep both your own tresses and your clip-ins with a heat defence spray first. Also, for best results, we recommend using large barrel curling tongs, on their lowest heat setting to create gorgeous, tumbling curls that are kinder on hair extensions.
Finish by running your fingers through your curls to blend your extensions in with your real hair. Distribute a smattering of a shine-boosting product throughout your locks in order to give your hair a healthy-looking luster

  • High ponytail

Another way to style your real hair extensions is to gather them into a high ponytail. In order to achieve a high, hair-extension friendly ponytail, you will need to clip your extensions in backwards so that they are facing in the right direction. The easiest way to do this is to flip your hair upside down, and, working from the nape of your neck, clip the extensions in facing in the same direction as the rest of your hair.
Once your real hair extensions are clipped in, all that remains to do is to flip your hair back the right way up and tie your hair into a high ponytail.

  • Fishtail braid

Here, we think that fishtail braids always look their best when long and voluminous. But if you need a bit of a helping hand on the length and volume front, simply reach for your faithful hair extensions, and clip them in as normal. Brush them through to make sure that there are no tangles.
Gather your hair over one shoulder and divide it into two sections. Then, proceed to braid your locks by taking thin strands of hair from each section and crossing them over to the opposite section. Continue to plait your hair in this way, right to the very tips, then secure with a clear hair elastic for a flawless finish.
These 3 ways to style your hair extensions prove that our clip-ins are more than capable of multitasking! What’s your favourite way to style your hair extensions?

Types of Human Hair Extensions

Human hair extensions are worn by women worldwide and are in high demand. Women like wearing human hair extensions because the texture blends well with their own hair and it lasts longer.  However, with the overwhelming amount of online stores selling human hair extensions, you may want to know that there are many types of human hair extension and not all are created equal.

Virginhair extensions are 100% real human hair that has never been altered by a chemical process. Virgin hair is the highest quality human hair available on the market. This hair is expensive, yet it does last for a longer time than remy hair, making it worth the investment. Virgin human hair extensions means that when the hair is collected, it is collected from virgin hair donors. This means that the hair has never been chemically processed (no perms, hair color etc), never chemically treated, and comes from hair donors with long healthy hair.

Virgin hair usually comes from younger women, so there are no grey hairs or split ends. When choosing virgin hair, hair donors must have long full healthy human hair. When collected, it is usually hand selected from thick, full, long ponytails.  Since virgin hair collected from ponytails, of healthy non-processed hair, the hair is already healthy and it does not require any kind of additional chemical processing to make it look beautiful (read: shiny and soft).

Some hair extension wearers think that virgin hair comes straight off the head and can never be colored and that constitutes as “virgin hair”. They believe that if the hair is colored after being collected, that it is no longer considered “virgin hair extensions”. That is simply not true when it comes to hair extensions. Virgin hair (in the hair extension world) means that the hair collected is virgin, healthy, and has no grays, split ends, or chemical processing at the time of collection. Virgin hair is fragile and should be processed differently than other hair extensions to keep the hair healthy and soft like it was while being collected.

Processing of the virgin hair is most important, and a lot of companies tend to use harsh processing for faster production which shortens the life span of the hair extensions.  Using harsh ingredients and acid baths to process the virgin hair speeds up manufacturing to produce hair faster, but the quality will get comprised. However, if the hair undergoes an eco-friendly and gentle slow process, the end result is beautiful virgin hair coated in a healthy gloss.  Virgin hair can last 1 to 2 years with proper care. When it comes to virgin hair, be sure to know how the hair is processed to ensure high quality hair.
Remyhair extensions are the most popular human hair extension on the market due to the quality and price. Remy hair is a high quality hair that lasts up to a year and blends very well with your own hair. What is remy hair means is that all the cuticles are intact, running in the same direction (at time of collection).  When all hair strands follow the same direction there will be almost no tangling and matting (if processed properly). With true high quality remy hair, the hair collected is healthy, the cuticles intact an
